President's Message - May/June

It is an honor to serve as President of the California State Division International Association for Identification for the 2019-2020 year. I realize this role comes with much responsibility and it will not be taken lightly. Thank you to the dedicated members who have agreed to work with me on the various committees and the upcoming conference. The knowledge and experience each one brings to the Executive Board is vast and I appreciate this as well. I look forward to a successful year as a result of this support.

Our agenda for this upcoming year is to attract new members and educate our current members on various forensic disciplines. We must continue to encourage all members to become actively involved and participate in meetings and activities. We can expand our membership by speaking to institutions about the organization and benefits. Exposure to people within the forensic discipline can be beneficial to aspiring forensic practitioner.

This approach to this upcoming year will allow us to keep tremendous focus on the extraordinary opportunities we have inside of the California State Division International Association for Identification and our future. Those opportunities live within our mission, and today we are about one thing above all else: making forensic information and knowledge available for everyone.

But all of this is just a start. We have a lot of work to do, and I will be right there with you. So let’s get to work and grow this prestigious forensic organization.
